Job Title: Intern

 

We are always looking for enthusiastic and aspiring event coordinators/students interested in learning and working with us in our Internship Program.  We have Summer, Fall and Spring Internship Programs.  Summer internships last from June through September and run for a minimum of four days a week and our Fall and Spring Internships last for an entire semester (September through December and January through June) for a minimum of three days a week.

SUMMARY  Overview of the position.

Responsible for assisting the McFarlane Promotions Team with daily and event-day tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists with coordinating team efforts.
  • Assists with daily office tasks.
  • Works on an event project from start and finish to see the entire picture of an event.
  • Occasional errand-running for President, Director or Event Managers.

INTERACTION

This position will interact with the President, Director of Special of Events and Marketing, Event & Promotions Manager and external parties.

EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or credits toward a Degree.  Internship can be used for college credit if required by your educational institution.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Available to work 3 to 4 days a week from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for a semester term, or as otherwise discussed with McFarlane Promotions prior to hire (Summer Internships are 4 days a week)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong practical math and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor; team player orientation.  Ability to interface with internal and external parties.
  • Hands on, energetic and positively motivated self-starter.
