Starlight Parade

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout - and this is why……The Starlight Parade has RETURNED!! Chula Vista Deputy Mayor Pat Aguilar and Councilman Rudy Ramirez, and the City of Chula Vista, are thrilled to announce the return of the beloved Starlight Parade, which will run down historic Third Avenue in Chula Vista. The parade will immediately follow the Third Avenue Village Association’s Holiday in the Village event. The festivities will take place Saturday, December 6th, with Holiday in the Village beginning at Noon, and the Starlight Parade kicking off at 6:00 PM, joined by our Grand Marshal Ron Cohn of Sprouts Farmers Market.

Seasons grrreetings, San Diegans! Prepare to unleash the holiday cheer through the streets of Downtown San Diego with your furry friends! The Annual Gaslamp Pet Parade presented by Downtown Ace Hardware and Market Street Veterinary Clinic returns and invites you and your beloved companions to join them on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 3pm.

You and your four legged friends can jingle all the way while walking the parade route which will start and end at the Gaslamp Hilton Park, adjacent to the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter located at 401 K Street, San Diego, CA 92101.

Start the route with your best paw forward at 3pm by leaving the Gaslamp Hilton Park and continuing under the iconic Gaslamp Quarter Archway and through the historic streets of the Gaslamp Quarter.

Downtown San Diego will be transformed into an Irish wonderland featuring over 80,000 square feet of GREEN astroturf! shamROCK will be bringing Ireland all the way across the pond to San Diego! San Diego LGBT Pride


San Diego Pride's famous cultural Festival includes multiple stages of entertainment, more than 80 musicians, bands, comedy and dance performers, 300 participating vendor booths, an Art exhibit, cultural presentations, a carnival and great food! The festivities will kick off on Friday, July 18th with the Pride Street Party at Normal and University where the Pride flag will fly and attendees will dance the night away. Wake up with your running shoes on for the Pride 5k or save your space early to watch the Pride Parade. Come out to South Bay Pride where there will be fun for the whole family! Everyone is invited to celebrate the LGBT community at South Bay Pride on Saturday, September 13th. The fun starts at noon and goes until 5:00 PM on the sunny peninsula of Bayfront Park in Chula Vista, right by the South Bay Harbor on Marina Parkway. Join other LGBT families at the Children’s Garden where parents can enjoy music from one of our two stages featuring exciting DJ’s and bands playing live music, including Laura Jane while the kids play engaging, educational activities. If the kiddies are especially excited, get down and boogie on one of the two dance floors with the whole crew! Then head over to grab some of your favorite drinks at the Wine & Beer Garden featuring several top brands from all over San Diego County. After you’ve worked up an appetite, round up your family and head over to the one of the tasty vendors offering delicious food and refreshments. In between all of the excitement, take a minute to enjoy the breathtaking, picturesque views of South Bay and make sure to take a stroll through the park to admire works of art from sculptures to paintings, all made by local residents of the community! Your kiddos will go plum crazy as you take a step back in time at the 14th Annual Fall Back Festival, a Children’s Historic Street Faire, in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. The event proceeds will benefit the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation, to assist in the continued effort to preserve the history of the Gaslamp Quarter and San Diego for years to come. The Fall Back Festival is FREE to the public.
