East Village Evolution Padres Tailgates

 

Leave all your tailgate items at home and let us bring the fun to you with the ultimate tailgate party! The East Village Association and the San Diego Padres will partner up to bring J Street to life for East Village Evolution Padres Tailgates on Friday, August 27th and Friday, September 10th, 2010 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM.  J Street between 7th and 9th Avenue will be transformed into a fabulous ultimate tailgate party, with a slight twist to each week’s event. Guests will be able to experience amazing culinary samples when purchasing tickets to a mini tasting area within the tailgate, featuring delicious specialties from five different East Village and surrounding restaurants each week.  A tailgate party would not be complete without a frosty-cold beverage from! Each tailgate event will bring various local brewers taking turns selling a selection of their hand-crafted beers.  Additionally, there will be a stage with live music and entertainment, and an interactive “Adult Kid” zone will be created where adults will have the opportunity to participate in interactive activities such as Batters Up!, Fast Pitch, and other challenging games. At each tailgate event, a different retired Padre will be on-site to sign autographs - bring your favorite Padre souvenir!  So, take me out to the ballgame with the East Village Association and the San Diego Padres! On August 27th, the Padres take on the Philadelphia Phillies, and on September 10th they face the San Francisco Giants. Admission to the tailgate party is free, but open to 21 and up only. 2nd Annual Auto Showcase

The Gaslamp Quarter Association is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Auto Showcase to be held on 5th Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego on October 10th, 2010 .  This spectacular showcase will be free to the public and feature four car saloons along 5th Avenue from Market to E Street, comprised of the following exquisite automobiles: Italian exotics, Corvette and Detroit Muscle Cars, CCCA cars and special interest cars. Dia de los Muertos Festival

 

The cultural festival draws an audience of 20,000 plus each year. In 2009, the festival moved locations to the Mission San Luis Rey allowing the event to grow and remain in the Oceanside area. Attendees will experience the charm and history of the traditional ofrendas (altars), the chalk cemetery, the food, the vendors and the entertainment. Fall Back Festival

Go plum crazy as you take a step back in time at the 9th Annual Fall Back Festival, a Children’s Cultural and Historic Street Faire, in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. Climb aboard and old-fashioned hay ride, pan for gold, check out a Wild West shootout, saddle up on the pony rides and enjoy 3 stages of live entertainment. Adults and children can take part in this shindig for FREE. In addition he produced numerous coveted collectors items such as Mustangs, Cobras and GT 40’s, in conjunction with Ford until 1968. It is safe to say that he has been lending his name to and producing high performance cars for over forty years. In addition to these American masterpieces, spectators of the La Jolla Motor Car Classic will also enjoy British, Italian and German marques, along with horseless carriages, CCCA Classics, Woodies, specialty makes, models and many other vintage classics. On Sunday, May 16th over 35,000 friends and families will come together from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM to explore the historic and energetic North Park neighborhood. People from all walks of life will take in the sights and sound of artisans from over 150 specialty booths, who will be showcasing amazing arts from every possible medium.
